Dressing for Your Family Portraits
Coordinating clothes in a group portrait is critical! Here are some recommendations for great ways coordinate your outfits:
- All light, medium, or dark tones
- Simple, solid colors
- White tops with blue jeans and white socks
- Matching tops with all denim, all khaki or all black pants
- All white, all black, or all denim
- Khaki with denim or white
- Blue and grey
- Brown and cream
Tip: Gather together everyone's wardrobe for the portrait and lay it out on the bed. Stand back and look at the clothes to make sure nothing "jumps out" or is distracting.

- Continuity in pants, stockings, and shoe colors
- Long sleeves. Avoid short sleeves or sleeveless tops.
- Avoid bold prints and patterns, or any sheer materials.
